Packaging Shift Supervisor

We are currently seeking results-oriented Packaging Shift Supervisors, who will work as a team with other shift supervisors to maximize the daily performance of a two line, high speed packaging operation. This department runs 24/7 and requires strong leadership from a hands-on, roll-up your sleeves leader. Major responsibilities include maintaining the production schedule, ensuring product quality and compliance with all internal and external regulations and procedures while effectively communicating to all customers (production, warehouse, scheduling, quality assurance and packaging floor) The pertinent metrics for this position include: safety, quality, output, uptime and cost.
Our work schedule allows you to get the most out of your day. You can pursue a college degree or enjoy the great outdoors every season of the year. You will work 3 ½ days every week for 12 hours each day. Our shifts are as follows:
- 6am to 6pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and 6am to noon on Thursday
- 6pm to 6am Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and 6pm to midnight on Thursday
- noon to 6pm Thursday, 6am to 6pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- midnight to 6am Thursday, 6pm to 6am Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Duties:
- Lead, train and motivate your team of Packaging personnel to surpass their daily goals.
- Work to foster a team environment within your shift, your department and other departments.
- Ensure proper service from support functions while also delivering adequate service to your customers such as maintenance, quality assurance, warehouse, purchasing and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulations and procedures.
- Serve as a communication link between management and line personnel.
- Special projects assigned by immediate supervisor
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or some other technically related field or experience.
- Will consider exceptional recent graduates with dynamic work ethics and a willingness to learn.
- Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment is desired.
- Experienced in a high speed packaging environment desired.
- Experience utilizing an enterprise resource planning, SAP preferred.
- Ability to eventually progress to the Packaging Assistant Director role.
